Clonakilty Waterfront Marathon V on Dec 6th 2014 starts at the Quality Hotel situated on the N71 bypass road around Clonakilty town.

The half way turn point for the 10 k comes just after your one and only hill climb then after a quick stop at the water/energy stand its downhill for a fast dash home to the Finish line, with maybe a new pb in the bag.
The half marathon will repeat this loop twice with plenty of fellow runners/walkers at different stages out on the course one will never be short of company.
The full marathon will continue up and around the island taking in the spectacular views of Clonakilty bay, passing the Inchydoney island lodge and spa resort and along by the beach this loop will be covered three times with a final short fourth loop turning on the causeway for home, where your finishers medal and a big west cork welcome from the Clon crew, family and friends, a photo or two at the Clon photo walls awaits you.
Then it’s into the showers, sauna, maybe a swim in the pool complements of the quality Hotel, or a gentle rub down / massage from physical therapist Meadbh O’Leary and all her crew.
